Taking Part

The owner of this badge has completed the required 4 Tasks for the Taking Part activity which forms a part of the learning playlist Get Social.  The skills, knowledge and attitudes gained and demonstrated through completing these tasks include: 
●	Identified and shared hobbies, interests and regular social activities from back home.
●	Researched how it might be possible to continue these activities in Blackpool or the surrounding area.
●	Researched and identified some activities that are new to them. 
●	Made a plan to get involved in a couple of things that interests them.  
Completing these four tasks demonstrates success in gaining the Taking Part badge and they are now on their way to achieving the overall “Get Social’ badge.

Research and explore what is available and possible for you in Blackpool and across the surrounding area to take part in, join and regularly attend outside of your volunteering commitments. What would be the challenges for you to take part in your chosen activity?

Have you thought about trying something new? 
●	Is there an international film society close by? 
●	Is there a table-top games club in the town? 
●	Is there a regular local pub quiz you could attend? 
●	How can you use your Streetlife bike? 
●	Is there a church / mosque / temple in the town? 
●	Do you want to get a gym membership from Streetlife? 
●	Is there a fishing or sailing club? 
●	Is there a community choir? 
●	How can your mentor support you with this?
