Welcome to Blackpool Young Arts Adventurers Silver Arts Award available now for Claremont Magic Club members.
Like the BYAA Bronze the BYAA Silver also has a Blackpool focus and is your chance to get a deeper understanding of the arts across Blackpool. Learn from local artists and those working in the cultural sector about a range of different arts, explore the rich heritage of the place through its venues, organisations and established creative industries. Make, create and grow your own arts practice and develop your leadership skills through realising a project.

This is your chance to participate and experience a range of different arts taster workshops; Blackpool is a sea of cultural possibilities and these activities will allow you to explore and experience the creative and art history of jobs available in Blackpool.
Find Your Arts Job - creating a collective map of the arts across Blackpool and then exploring the jobs available and then finding one for you.
Finding Your Beat - is a DJ training workshop, introducing you to the equipment and basic principles of DJing.
Finding Your Performer - is a theatre and drama based team building workshop. Using tried and tested theatre games and activities.
Finding Your Light - is an Illuminations lantern building workshop. Using a variety of different materials and techniques to recreate some of Blackpool iconic Illuminations.
The workshops will not only give you the chance to get creative but also be an opportunity to experience the work of some Blackpool artists.

Task 1: Participate in the workshops and document your experience; keep a journal, collect photographs, make notes. What did you enjoy? What didn’t you like? Add your words and photos here:

Task 2: Discover the creative YOU and find out which creative monster are you? Take the online creative personality test: https://mycreativetype.com/. Share what you found out, what creative type did the test tell you you were, was it a good match, is there another one you were looking for? What is your chosen art form for your challenge, how will your creative monster help? What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Task 3: Tell us about your chosen arts challenge and why you have chosen it? Provide a detailed action plan explaining how you’ll make it, and make it happen. This is you making and creating something. What will you create?
A music playlist for the club?
A painting or drawing?
A photograph using different techniques?
A short filmed performance? Maybe a monologue or a poem you have written about the arts?
A sculpture using your new skills?
We will share with you some examples of Arts Challenge Action Plans.
