Values and ethics are something which shape our world and all of us have - even if we don’t spend a lot of time thinking about them. They’re important in terms of helping us have a view of what is right and wrong, and the kinds of decisions we want to make both at work, but also at home and socially with friends and family. Plus, being able to communicate our values and ethics effectively gives us the ability to make our point of view heard and shape the behaviours of others and, ultimately, the world we live in. This learning playlist is your chance to explore your own values, principles and ethics, and work out how to share them with others.

Building on values, this is now your moment to think about principles. These are the golden rules that guide us - things we believe are absolutely right or absolutely wrong, and the lines we won’t cross. One example might be treating others the way you want to be treated. However, these principles can be influenced by situations we might find ourselves in - at work or with friends or family - so communicating them effectively can be really important. This is your chance to reflect on your principles and think about situations when they’ve been influenced by others.
